My favorite flower...what a splendid picture. You’ve certainly done Lavender proud! Gorgeous.
Credit: Storypick HAPPY NEW YEAR! I wanted to post a series of damning quotes and fiery images of what I am leaving behind with 2020, but I decided against it. 2020 was full of so much bullshit what good can come from adding fuel to the fire of the flame monster? Don't answer that. Beyond … Continue reading PROMISES (2021)
Chaos is beauty Weaving in and out of life I can’t stand the pain Credit: AZ Quotes Yet. I must. This year has been dismal and devastating. I was broken by a boss who took immense pleasure in demeaning and degrading me-yet I consistently sought her approval. I couldn't understand why she didn't like me. I worked hard, mostly trying to impress her. For a time, I was impressed by her knowledge-she wasn't a lawyer, but she walked and talked like one, winning her fair share of legal arguments too, mostly against the baby ADA's as she called them. They were her favorite target, next to me.
I love your blog! Fried calamari is my favorite! I can’t wait to try your recipe. Thanks for sharing!
This is the best Deep Fried Calamari I have ever made at home! It was very easy to prepare, it had a light coating of seasoned breading and the taste was amazing! My Calamari had been frozen and it still turned out delicious.
Add enough oil to a deep saucepan that the
squid will have oil all around it. Heat over
medium high heat to 365 degrees.
Meanwhile combine the flour,
salt and pepper on a large plate.
Dredge the squid through the flour
mixture, coating each piece entirely.
Once the oil is at 365 degrees, drop just enough
breaded squid pieces into the oil so that the pieces
do not touch. Fry for ONLY 2-3 minutes or else the
squid will be tough. The breading should be a
LIGHT brown color, NOT golden brown. Remove
from the oil and place on a plate covered with paper

I just binged The Queens Gambit on Netflix. Now, I'm obsessed with chess. I've always been amazed by the complexity of the game but there's something simple about how it mirrors life and the choices we make that propel us to greatness or lead us to ruin. Spoiler alert-it ain't just about chess! I appreciate the strategy, the intensity, and the predictability of unpredictability in the game. I love that the Queen is more important than the King, because gender politics have denied women their rightful place as leaders in the world, even though they have lead anyway. For instance, Woodrow Wilson's wife Galt Wilson lead the United States after her racist, philandering husband suffered a series of strokes that left him incapacitated.
